Behind Parish Threads
I’m Tayler, the maker behind Parish Threads. I started quilting just a year ago, and it quickly became a creative passion I didn’t expect. I love the process of taking meaningful pieces—T-shirts, clothing, and fabrics with a story—and turning them into something useful and lasting.
Today I focus on handcrafted memory quilts and keepsakes, made with care and attention to detail. My goal is to create pieces that feel personal, well-made, and true to the memories they represent.
How The Quilt Process Works
Each quilt begins with the items you provide—
T-shirts, clothing, or other meaningful fabrics. Once everything arrives, I look through the pieces, map out the layout, and go over any design preferences you have. Any clothing that isn’t used can either be discarded or sent back with your finished quilt—whichever you prefer.
The shirts are then prepped, cut, and arranged into a balanced layout. After that, I add the backing and batting and quilt everything together. Once the quilting is complete, the quilt is trimmed and then bound for a clean, finished look. Finally, it’s checked for quality and carefully packaged before being sent back to you.
The entire process is intentional, organized, and respectful of the memories you’re trusting me with.
